Mystic Lake Overnight Camp Offerings 2026
For 100 summers Mystic Lake has offered high quality camping programs for children and teens. Our programs focus on helping campers develop the skills that are necessary for them to have great success in life. Our programs help children gain confidence, make great friends, teach lifelong skills and further their maturity. If your family is looking for adventurous, fun, safe and meaningful experiences, then Mystic Lake YMCA Camp is the perfect place for your child this summer!
The Mystic Experience Program is where your child’s camping adventure begins—and where lifelong traditions are made! Campers are grouped with children their age and enjoy a fun-filled mix of activities like swimming, boating, archery, crafts, and more, while making new friends, learning new skills, and building confidence. Through positive role models and everyday summer camp experiences, children grow in confidence, independence, and maturity while embracing our four core values: Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility.
Weeks Offered: Weeks 1 thru 8 (week 3 shortened due to Independence Day)
For some campers, one week just isn’t enough! Our two-week Mystic Experience gives campers the opportunity to settle into summer camp, build lasting friendships, and make even more memories. Campers stay at camp over the weekend between their two registered camp sessions and continue enjoying camp activities with their cabin group, including swimming, boating, archery, crafts, and more. Along the way, they build confidence, learn new skills, connect with positive role models, and grow through our four core values: Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility.
Weeks Offered: 1&2, 4&5, 5&6, 6&7
Camp Starlight, presented in partnership with the Michigan Dyslexia Institute (MDI), offers children with dyslexia a welcoming overnight camp experience designed to build confidence, self-esteem, compassion, and a strong sense of belonging. Campers live and participate alongside Mystic Lake campers, creating opportunities to make new friends, try new things, and discover their strengths. MDI provides an inspiring evening program focused on hope, kindness, perseverance, and reaching our potential, while Mystic Lake staff create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. With caring staff, exciting activities, new experiences, and a beautiful setting, Camp Starlight is a place where campers return year after year—and where lifelong friendships are made.
