Parent Information

Parent Information for Camp

Full Camp information can be found in the Family Handbook.

Below are our frequently asked questions!

To help keep things smooth and comfortable for everyone, check-in will be staggered by last name:

  • A-M: 2:00–3:00 PM
  • N-Z: 3:00–4:00 PM

Families are welcome to walk with their camper to the cabin and wait while they get settled in their new home for a week. (or two!)

Taking the Bus?

  • Bus check-in: 11:30 AM at the Parkwood YMCA (2306 Haslett Road, East Lansing, MI 48823)
  • Bus departs around 12:00 PM
  • $30 each way – pre-registration required

We can’t wait to welcome you to camp!

For safety, only adults listed on the camper’s release form will be allowed to pick up, and photo ID is required. (Don’t forget to list yourself and at least one other person in case you can’t make it due to an emergency!)

  • Camp Check-Out: Friday, 6:00–6:30 PM
  • Bus Check-Out: Friday, around 7:45 PM

Thanks for helping us keep check-out safe and smooth!

For everyone’s safety, all medications (including inhalers and EpiPens) must:

  • Be in their original container with the prescription label
  • Clearly show your child’s name, doctor’s name, dosage, and instructions
  • Include only enough for your camper’s stay

All medications and vitamins must be turned in to the Health Officer at check-in. Medications are not allowed in cabins

Emergency medications will be kept in a central location and brought along whenever campers leave the main camp area.

Thanks for helping us keep camp safe and healthy!

Please make sure your camper’s belongings are clearly labeled — this helps us return misplaced items quickly.
